It was November 5, 2008 — the day after the U.S. election. Good thing I didn’t believe the email I got on November 3, which said Nostradamus predicted John McCain would win the election.
The “blue eyed wolf” and some gobble de gook about his ruling the world or some such nonsense.… Please do not send me such junk, friends.
But to continue with something more interesting. Marv and I did a book signing at Sedona’s Well Red Coyote bookstore in early February 2008. He talked about his book, “I Married a Psychic.” We performed a skit based on a scene from the book, too — funny stuff, sort of like Saturday Night Live in Sedona.
I, the psychic of the title of said book, then did a demonstration of the tools a psychic uses. Tools like Tarot cards, crystals and gemstones that help me get an answer to a question or they clear the energy field around the client and let in the light.
I had a good time as people in the audience asked questions about themselves and their issues, and I used the pendulum to get a “yes,” “no,” or “I don’t know” answer.
I asked Marv if he had a question. He paused for just a moment, and then he asked if a black man could be elected president of the United States.
A hush came over the room. After all, the primaries were still going on and Obama and Hillary were locked in a tight race to be the Democratic candidate. Even I was shocked by the audacity of the question.
There was a collective holding of breath in the room as the pendulum slowly began to move. The answer was…YES! A strong “yes!” A murmur arose from the seated guests in the room.
Now, I hope someone remembers that. I certainly do, as we celebrate Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office and salute his impressive accomplishments so early in his term.
And dig it: A black man is indeed president of these United States!
